Aliens, 1966

Tempera on paper, 14 3/8 x 20 1/8 in. (36,5 x 51 cm.)

Always intrigued by man1s conquest of space, Gurvich in a series of works, depicted space ships, astronauts, and aliens. This brightly colored tempera in primary colors of seemingly wonderous aliens also includes the universal symbols (the beginning of life and the ladder of knowledge) that often appear in his canvases.
